Hi all
Cool site, glad to be a member. Gives me a solid destination when reading up on my favorite hobby!
Been smoking for 3+ now, ramped up slowly and pretty much went all in over the last year and a half. Live in the Detroit Area and love it. Never want to leave(permanently)
As a newbie ive had a hard time narrowing down to a few main smokes(not sure if that is typical) so have been trying everything i read about, if i can find it.
Some of my favorites have been the Baitfish, the Cromagnon line(just got some Aquitanes in to compare), Montecristo WL #2, recently been enjoying the Alec Bradley MAXX Brazil, Padron 1964 Maduro, anything Pepin, Cain NUB Maduro, Oliva Serie G/O/V, and sometimes in the morning one of the Tabak Especial by DEstate, and more. Smoked some CCs in Hong Kong and China this year that were great; Partagas Siglo IV, Monte #2, Cohiba Maduro 5, and a Bolivar. Good stuff, but over priced.
Some i havent liked are the Gurkha Widow Maker, Gurkha Vintage 2001, RyJ Romeo, anything ACID, Quesada Oktoberfest, La Gloria Serie N, Rocky Patel EDGE, and more. Not sure if bad cigar, caught a bad stick, or just not my fit so not a knock on any of these particularly.
So basically i am here to learn. Im a humble newbie looking for info, what people are smoking, tips and tricks, and how to find some of these cigars i can only hear about....all in time i guess
So hello everybody. I look forward to chatting with you all and once i settle in i will hit the Newbie sampler thread!
