Just trolling through the forums I have to admit I'm a little confused about some of the abbreviations and lingo being used. I am familiar with some of the cigar shapes such as Torpedo and Churchill, but sized I'm not familiar with at all. For instance 6x50. The 6 I have come to understand as the length. Correct? The 50 is the "fatness" of the cigar? But is that in some sort of measurement (like millimeters) or does it correspond to a size (like 50 = 1/2")?
Also wanted to know if I could get some advice on where to look for cigar samplers and perhaps a little on something to look for. I don't remember the names of cigars I have liked before (haven't really considered myself an aficionado or anything lol). Generally though I am fond of big cigars that burn slow (I don't like the smoke to be over in 5 minutes). I also like cigars with a deep/strong flavor (I guess you call it that).
Thanks in advance for the advice.
