Thanks, guys. This looks like a really cool cigar forum. Joisey and Schnectady! Alright! I grew up in Hartford, CT. Now living in Cali. I'm new to cigars. Just bought me first humidor last week. Had never even seen one before taking it out of the box. I quit smoking cigarettes two years ago after a 20-year habit. Ugghhh! But I lit up a cigar on New Years Eve this year, Coronado by La Flor, and just loved the taste and the relaxation of it. I decided to order a sampler and got the Ashton Sungrown sampler and that was it: I was hooked. I started off probably like most newbs, ordered a bunch of brand name stuff from Altadis and General cigar, but now I am enjoying stuff from well-known rollers: Jose "Pepin" Garcia, Jaime Garcia, Pete Johnson, Casa Fernandez. I guess for the time being I prefer Nicaraguan cigars, but do enjoy popular brands from the Dominican Republic. I recently bought a sampler of Sosa's and have really liked those. But I'm still learning.

Don't worry, there's lots of activity here. I, too, was/am a cigar newb and the brothers here are genuinely open and helpful to those of us who are learning so search the old threads and don't hesitate to ask questions!

Sorry, bdc30. Figured that out by reading guidelines after writing post. When I saw it was gone, I figured I screwed up. Thanks for the gentle chiding! LOL! BTW, this forum rocks. Already been extremely helpful with my newbie questions, worries, and concerns. Thanks again, bro. Peace.
