This is kind of a funny article. You can tell that the author disapproves that we should have a right to defend ourselves from violent crimes. I really like the last three paragraphs, but esspecially the statements, " Sympathy for violent offenders...runs low in Texas" and "[it is] lawful to carry a concealed handgun with a permit."
Hell, they make it sound like we are strange because we care more about the person who gets attacked than the person attacking, or that Texas is the only place that you can carry a conceal handgun. Last I thought you could do this in every state with a permit (or at least most states). All I can say is: Damn Libs!!!
