Every fall, like clockwork, the vast majority of nations agree, and overwhelmingly back a resolution condemning the embargo. In November, 186 countries supported the measure, with only Israel joining the U.S. in opposition.

There are very real problems in Cuba, but they don't come anywhere near the level of problems with other countries we work with closely. Not to mention that ending the embargo would hasten freedom for Cuba, not reward the regime. I don't get it.

Good reading. I agree with you, not sure I understand why this is still going on. I understand why it was put into place, but feel like its time to let it go. Plus I want to go and see where my peeps came from :)

Agree with everything Skitalets said. It has been proven over and over again that walling off a country doesn't work, but allowing western influences to permeate those societies works wonders.

I wonder what would happen to quality with the increased demand? Of course I wouldn't mind trying to see the difference!

I'm of the opinion quality would tank for years. I would be rationing my current supply of Habanos. I'd still like to see the embargo lifted.

That is my fear as well. Of course a trip as soon as the embargo was lifted and I'd have a stash too.
