Hello all!

My name is Eddy. I just became very interested in cigars and love them. had my first Padron 1964 this weekend on a hike with the Fiance. I enjoy full bodied medium-medium/strong blends. I noticed there is a trading area but is there any place I could buy cigars to try direct from some of you guys? The local shops are grossly overpriced here in NY due to taxes. I still buy but would prefer to buy direct from the brotherhood.

Any recommendations? I enjoyed the Padron a lot. I also enjoyed a Blendlabs WC-554 and a Magna. The Perdomo 10yr champagne I tried was decent but mild for my taste. I enjoy a flavorful smoke.

Just won a beginner humi on cigarbid. I will season it with Boveda packs and would like to keep about 15-20 cigars in it at a time.

So I hope this isnt too noobish but any help is appreciated.

*also if you know of any events in NY especially westchester county please let me know.

Welcome!

As far as suggestions, I'm a noob as well. I just smoke as much variety as I can.

As for the trading area. You just have to be a member for 30 days and then it will open up to you!

Eddy welcome from Albany. I feel your pain on taxes your best bet at finding cigars you like is buy 5ers off the Internet (various bidding sites, monster.com, etc) with 5ers I found for me also being from ny you can get it for what we'd buy 2-3 sticks for and it gives you a chance to have a few to try before you make your decision on them. Just my $.02. Enjoy this place and all the knowledge too.

Thank you all for the warm welcome!

The humidor is a 50 count. I planned on keeping 15-20 in there after it is seasoned. I just started reading about aging cigars. Can they be aged in a regular humi or will I need to make a coolidor? Dont have many funds lol.

I will look into Atlantic cigar. Also I have been to Doc James in Shrub Oak and it is a very niice place. I live close to Mom's Cigar but Docs is very close to where I work.

You can age cigars in a regular humi just fine as long as it holds the humidity and temp. Just an FYI though....humi work best when they're at least 2/3rd full. I used to have Shrub Oak in my territory....never knew there was a cigar store there. Probably a good thing because if I had known, no work would have gotten done after leaving the account in Jefferson Valley Mall.

Yea and it is a pretty nie cigar store at that. Has a very nice lounge though I have not stayed to smoke there. Maybe tomorrow after lunch.
