Noob Question on Opus X

Hey everyone, I know this is probably going to be a dumb question but i'm just curious. My local b&m has some opus x in and I tried a couple the last few weeks. Let's just say I thought they were phenomenal. I believe they were Perfextion X's. Anyway my question is, does anywhere sell online sell boxes of Opus X when they get them? I know the cigars are highly sought after so most retailers sell them as singles. But if I had the money, would I ever be able to buy a box at MSRP anywhere? My local B&M said he only gets a few boxes a year and only sell them as singles.

tl;dr Can you ever buy boxes of opus x anywhere online/in store for msrp?


PS: I do not have enough money to buy a box, maybe one day if I hit the lottery lol.

So you want to know where to find a box of cigars you can't afford?

Theoretically, yes you could buy a box online. There are a number of places online that sell Opus X. That being said, very few that have them at MSRP. Those few places sell out remarkably fast in general. They're only released a couple times a year.

If you can't afford a box, just keep grabbing singles at your local and enjoy when you can.

Your best bet is to make your local B&M Owner your best friend. Maybe he would part with a box for you.

either build a relationship (local OR online retailer), or just hit refresh on the websites as often as possible. barring that, buy a handful when available (as suggested), and put them down for when you're ready.

also, PLEASE know what MSRP is on htes! it pisses me off to no end the amount of people who overcharge on opi.

Yeah I know it was stupid question. It was just more for my curiosity. In all honesty i'm graduating college this semester and if I land a decent job I would love to buy a box. I know that will probably be easier said than done lol. Anyway yeah just curious as to how often boxes to buy are available. I know opus only comes out a few times a year.

Hey! Without stupid questions this forum would be a quiet, hollow shell of itself. Let us know how that lottery plan works out. If you do come up with the scratch and get serious about the search, you won't have to work all that hard at it. But then if you hit the lottery...or get that dream job, you won't care what msrp is.

I feel ya on this one brother. Went to a new B&M yesterday and he had a box of opusX Angel's Share double coronas, I had one and figured if I liked it enough I would buy a few more for the humidor...no later was I 5 minutes into smoking it did a tourist walk in, asked if he had any Partagas Black label...5 minutes later he walks out with a big bag and the owner says "Man, I'm glad you bought that Opus, he just bought the rest of the box!" :crosseyed $23 a stick, and he bought every last one of them. Part of me cried inside (the part that wanted more of them), and another part of me cheered (the part that handles my finances lol).
Oh yeah, he bought a box of black labels too.

If I find them again, I'm buying as many as they'll let me (within my budget of course).

Im a big fan of the entire opus line but to be honest the regular opus is my least favorite haha im a huge fan of the lost city (when i can find them for a reasonable price) and the Angel share. But really all of them are amazing
