Please bear with me on this post, as it is not the easiest, and it may ramble.

About a year ago shortly after I joined this site and I started getting into cigars, I fell and got a concussion. At that time I pretty much dropped off the site and focused on my healing. Then life happened, and my appreciation of cigars grew, I started reading and stalking the forums again, out grew my desktop started to develop my likes and dislikes. I also gained a few cigar smoking friends and some really close ones at the same time. One of the biggest things that helped my brain heal is have somewhere to read about cigars and a very close group of friends who I could talk about how things are going for me and what I was feeling at that time. For anyone who has had a concussion may understand "post concussion syndrome", some most important parts of dealing with it is to remain optimistic and have a outlet for how you are feeling, cigars had done that for me.

Fast forward to 3 weeks ago, I was hit by a car while walking to the train. Minor knee injury, which is pretty much healed, but a rather severe concussion much worse than before. This time I cannot heal on my own and the "post concussion syndrome" has already started to take hold of me rather severely. I have now let the small group of friends who I care about and by chance are the closest cigar smokers, that I need there help to get though this, and not just by talking over a cigar now and then. I am not going to bore you with the details.

But I want to ask that during the next few months if I happen to say something or have something come out of left field, let me know and I will try to explain if I can and If I cannot then accept an apology. And then finally:

A BIG THANK YOU - you all helped me though the last concussion with out knowing and I know you will help me though this one.

Prayers for you dealing with your "post concussion syndrom". I have no clue what that must be like but I am glad to know that you have found people and cigars to help you with it.

Jeremy,

Thank you for letting us know what is going on with this. It really sucks that you have had to go through so much pain in the past year. I am going to be praying for you big time. Please also let me know if there is anything that you need or anything that I can do to help. Remember, you can't always choose what happens to you but you can choose how you react to it. Keep a positive attitude, rely on your friends and fight like hell to get better!!

Good luck and keep your head up

This is quickly becoming the hit by a car thread...I was struck by a drunk driver while working as a police officer and it ended my 27 year career. Broke lots of bones, suffered a head injury as well, so literally I feel your pain! Hang in there brother things will get better!
