New Air 28: CheapHumi trays, KL, Boveda 65's, no fans(?),:scratchhe, no etc.

Thanks to many of you for the great ideas. Imitation is the most sincere form of flattery--ok, I just copied my older brothers.

Here is the LED strip I used--another blatant theft
http://www.amazon.com/LEDwholesalers-Controller-2034RGB-3315-3215/dp/B0040FJ27S

Though I like the lights on when the door is closed--it shows off the insides well, they serve no purpose except to blind me when searching for my next gem.

If the strip was secured to the main unit not the door and pointing the right direction it would be ideal.

My meager searching abilities couldn't dig up a wineador pic thread, so please feel free to move this if I did miss it, OR if not feel free to post your Wineador/Storage porn here:hearteyes

That pinkish purple is gnarly.
Thanks, if you follow the link amazon has a picture of the remote and it is silly how many colors there are. I do like the fact that you can control the brightness which the system remembers next time you switch it on.

And if you feel like a cigar RAVe, kick on the strobe, fade, flash, auto mode, and let the dance party start:applause:

To be honest I really only use it to check the hydrometers(it's in a dark corner) and to show off to friends.

Any idea how much heat it throws off, if any?
I just turned it on white light brightest setting for 1 hr:

started: 66.8 F 67%
30min: 69.5 F 65%
1hr: 71.1 F 64%

This was the highest setting, there are 7 clicks less bright and I'll give that a testing soon.

My old poorly insulated apartment gets cold during the winter(as low as 52F) and I thought about hooking the LED light strip to a dual input ETC along with the wineador and have it act like a heater to maintain a more constant temp. when the temp dipped under say 60F. I would include fans with that type of system. I haven't pursued the idea because I didn't think a swing from 55 to 67 was anything to concern myself with.
If I do get an ETC I will prob get a dual just to have the option of being dialed right in the party zone 24/7--set and forget.

Thanks for the compliments, I'm glad you guys like it.

The poor lonely no. 35: I have him isolated to lesson the risk of "cross contamination/flavor leach" from the others--probably a nuub overkill move? but I have the room.

Awesome! And welcome from Woodinville!
Glad to meet another WA brother. Sweet, stocked full sized "refrigador" by the way:drool:
Brown Chicken, Brown Cow

All I need now is to wrap the outside in fuzzy tiger stripe cloth and throw a big mustache decal on the front:lady::waving:

I let the wineador cool down (its not been turned on for weeks) and tested the rise in temp. with the least bright setting turned on:

started: 67.3 F 67%
1hr: 67.8 F 67%
6hr: 67.8 F 67%

This is clearly a much more acceptable rise in temp. for long term use and if one had fans circulating the air it seems fine.
Some of the above photos were taken at the lowest light settings as I was manipulating the flash by dimming/brightening trying to get decent photos.

I tend to use the second or third from lowest setting when showing off...errr...using it (not so in your face)

Also, since I have not drilled a hole in the unit for the power cord, I have compromised the seal (barely, but light gets through) by running the flat cord--looks like an Alfredo noodle--in between the shut door and the unit.

Clearly I have chosen form over function...:hysterica

Cheers
