Occidental Factory Vs. TABADOM

im getting ready to start smoking through my box of Hammer + Sickle LE2014 (usually smoking anything hammer and sickle would go against my morals, but bear with me).

I picked them up because they were rolled at Occidental on the DR under control of Hendrick Kelner... The factory has also produced Paul Garmirian cigars and the Hendrick Jr special edition. Davidoff seems to stash a lot of good leaf there, and of the cigars I can find that claim that factory as their source, there is pretty high praise and a flavor profile that is right up my alley.

My confusion comes from the interchangeable use of TABADOM as the label given to the factory. It is part of the TABADOM wing of davidoff, but there is a specific TABADOM production facility where AVO is produced.

That's all the information I have been able to glean off of HW.

Anyone have any more insight into where the occidental factory fits into the davidoff lineup? Is it the designated "private label" production site for davidoff?

I'm excited for the LE, been wanting to try them for a while, maybe it's s sub $10 davidoff!

There are 3 factories that Davidoff uses in the DR. The Davidoff factory makes Davidoff and Winston Churchill. Ottinger /Kelner factory makes Avo, Griffiths, Zino and a few others and Occidental does all the private labels.

It is my understanding from talking to the Davidoff Rep about this that TABADOM is the company that runs everything for Davidoff of Geneva in the Dominican Republic

I wouldn't write off hammer and sickle, I've had a few different, all delicious and loved the hermitage - which smoked with a hint of graham crackers and marshmallow

That sounds up my alley... I've gotten a few in trades and they turned acrid or tasted like cardboard :/

Not at all, I believe it was the hermitage number 2, which came in the leather box. Smoked and bombed a bit out of the box I had of those, now smoking in my rotation a box that comes in the glass box but don't remember its name - also good solid smokes.
