January 2004? They're taking their time, aren't they? It looks like they're ignoring the GAO's recent recommendations:One individual has agreed to a settlement totaling $282.50 for allegedly dealing in property in which Cuba or a Cuban national had an interest: In January 2004, the individual allegedly purchased Cuban cigars over the Internet. The individual did not voluntarily disclose this matter to OFAC.
In addition, in light of OFACs responsibilities for administering more than 20 sanctions programs, including sanctions against countries engaged in terrorism, weapons proliferations, and narcotics trafficking, we recommend that the Secretary of the Treasury direct OFAC to assess its allocation of resources for investigating and penalizing violations of the Cuba embargo with respect to the numerous other sanctions programs it administers.
