Can't find any recent productions anywhere! Of course I have found a lot of old ones and special releases but for some reason I like them better with not so much age on them. Don't know why you guys would buy this stick! It's not even a global brand. You guys need to focus on Cohibas, Montecristos, HdM's etc and leave the ERDM CS alone. Hell, I hear that even Santa Claus wouldn't smoke an ERDM CS!

these have been scarce since July, one vendor had a few boxes in Oct.
Recent production has been very uneven, look for '14 production if you can find them.

you are very right. and leaf selection, after three bad crop years in a row.
That's why we are not seeing any Sir Winston, they only use superior leaf, and there ain't none that big.

Is that really why? Do the other marcas like Boli and Partagas just not give a crap? Seems like lots of Gigantes and Lusis around...

"I have one from 15 that is showing potential, not the worst fresh boxes I have smoked one out of."

You are lucky, you got one of the good boxes, I have heard horror stories about some of them.
One of the boxes I got had to be returned, they were underfilled to the point you could not cut the cap without crushing the stick............

I came across a picture of a box of petite edmundos that was pathetic on FB. The box should've never been released. Let me dig it up

The MdO is a different story.
Never made in large numbers, and the leaf selection is extremely tight on these.
The flavor profile is, to me, different from all other CCs.
2014 is the last year these were produced,(so far) and I tried cigars from 6 boxes to find that the magic was gone.
The blend was not true and I did not buy any from '14.
I will continue to hold on to my precious few from '02 up to '13........
The Sir Winston seemed to be much more available than the La Glorias, even though there were not a lot of them made, either.

Yeah I scored a full box from 02, I felt very lucky when I came across it.

Hard to tell much, not a great pic.
I have, however, found that mottled wrappers can be excellent, I had some mottled Upmann #2 that were the best box I have ever had,
and they were PSP grade from the folks who use that basis to grade sticks.
Also have had some amazing Monte 2 with mottled wrappers. Same source.
So don't let it scare you off when you see a wrapper that is less than beautiful, try one........

Congrats for finding a box of '02 MdO, you have a real prize there.
Now your only problem is justifying smoking a $25.00 cigar........:arghh::confused::eek:
