Old equipment

I love anything old that still works well. This is a really cool video of a steam powered box mill. I find it very interesting and sometimes it makes me wonder how much technology we have. Maybe I am just getting old.

Our family is like this. Always looking for old tools and stuff. My dad keeps alot of it in his polebarn and we have fun messing around with them. Something about old craftsmanship that beats alot of todays cheap stuff.

That's the way I feel also, I look at some of that equipment and consider what was done with a fire, water and steam and it kinda makes me think that today's technology isn't that impressive after all. Those old fellows knew how to make things that truly held the test of time and they did it in their heads, without computers....simply amazing.
