Need a bit of help from the Oliva fans, please!

I was gifted a great cigar that I really enjoyed. Whenever I try a cigar for the first time and enjoy it, I save the band so I can investigate further.

Like an idiot, I somehow lost the band....DOH!

I know it was a figurado, so I am thinking it was the Oliva Serie V Ligero Special V Figurado...Just not sure though.

Any thoughts?

If it looked like the one in this picture I would say you are right Clint, the bands are all the same on the V's so keeping it probably wouldn't have helped you my friend.

The Oliva "G" and the Oliva "V" both have a figurado in the regular lines. The G being a Cameroon wrapper, medium body/strength and the V(which is called the "Special V") being close to a full body/strength.

Craig is most definately correct and both are a 6x60. Here's the G Figuardo....it's a bit of a box press compared to the V

the G is box pressed figurado and the V is a nice dark reddish brown wrapper, and is not box pressed at all. Gorgeous cigar actually. I like them both, but the Fig is a long smoke time

I tried the V and didn't love it. I don't know if it was a bad day or stick or what but it just seemed too powerful. I'll have to try the G as it seems the v and the G are the ones everyone talks about.

I had a V lancero and loved it. Thankfully there are some sitting in the humi now :)
I enjoy both the V and G, it just depends on what mood i'm in when it comes to choosing between them

Until recently I'd only had the V in the lancero, which is as previously mentioned, an awesome stick. I picked up a couple of the figurados off CB just for kicks. It was still a good enjoyable smoke, but to me the flavors seemed a bit muted compared to the lancero, and fighting with that perfecto foot always kinda annoyed me.

The V is probably my favorite cigar... I haven't "graduated" to some of the other premiums yet, but I LOVE the serie V!
