Give me a few years to figure things out and then maybe Olivas will be just "okay" haha thanks bro
It won't take you a few years -- probably just a few months! (y) My palate got snobby real fast once I started burning the boutique blends. Then my wallet (and wife) started complaining. So now I keep the high-dollar sticks in the tupperdor for special occasions. FWIW, I do enjoy the Oliva Serie V Melanio. That's always a very good stick. :cigar:

My truck smoke is often a Nub by Oliva. I know they're suppose to last as long as a longer stick, but I puff'em hard if I've only got 30 minutes or less to drive.

I know I've had a couple others and they were decent. I honestly can't remember which I've had other than the Oliva Connecticut Reserve.

The deal that holts has had going on the master blend 3's for a while now is ridiculous if you like those.

That deal don't look half bad. I've never had a master 3. But I'm not going to invest too deeply in one brand until I'm certain, like zippo mentioned, I may graduate from Olivas in a short period. But I just couldn't resist giving them some praise

I used to love those. That is a good deal. I wonder if Oliva is pushing to clear the Master Blend III out for a new Master Blend. Those have been on the market now for several years.
That was my guess as well. Holts has had that deal going for two years now, so their must be a ton of them still out there.

@Gar Brooks, couldn't agree with you more! I've been smoking cigars a long time and Oliva is very reliable. Their V Seire and MB series is fantastic! I also love the O Madros! One of my top 10 NC cigars is the Oliva V Lancero!

PM me your address and I'll be sure you get some of these ASAP!

BWhite, that is too kind of you. I hope you're inferring to start a trade, because I would feel uneasy to just "take" some of your Olivas. Send me your address too and let me send you some sticks out of my humble stash. Like Hopduro mentioned, I have some "heavy hitters" haha

You'll get my address on the USPS box. :) For real though, I'm not looking to do a trade, just want to send you an Oliva sampler of what I consider to be the best that they have to offer. You can send something back if you feel the need but it is certainly not required. Plus, anyone who posts a mugshot that big in a thread deserves to be slapped around a bit by a bomb. :snaphappy::sneaky:

Hahaha! I felt a little courageous today. You will be getting sticks in return, there's no question about that. PMing you now.

I'm an Oliva fan also. The O is a great everyday cigar and the V is a treat. Some of their sub brands are good too, Nub Maduro, Cain F, etc.

I have a couple V's that I haven't smoked yet. They have a real small ring gauge. I think that's why I got them so cheap ($2 per) on cbid.

I've always looked at the Oliva line but just haven't bought any yet. I'd start with the G series as well since I'm still happy with medium and under. They have a rather large selection to pick from with ranges all over the place so for me that's a good cigar to try.
