Operation: Cigars For Warriors

I know I have seen a couple posts on here lately with people asking about easy ways to help out our soldiers with a cigar supply. I have known these guys for a while now and am confident they are one of the best groups around.

I know we are going to find ways we can get our cigar club to help them out and they have a great program where you can buy sticks through them and they will add sticks to donate to the cause. They also hold cigar auctions on Facebook which are pretty awesome.

Anyways, please check it out and look into the program. A good friend of mine and our club is a administrator in the program. He is a fellow BOTL Tom Navarro (TANAVARRO) and also a Drew Estate Ambassador.

Personally I like Getting the cigars into the hands directly, these guy's may be great but of the 17,000 cigars we sent the joy of the emails, pictures challenge coins and flags sent back this trumps some organization to me. I had to hand my direct involvement over to four guy's on another board but it was the single most rewarding few years of my life and I made friends for life of some pretty amazing people.

No overhead at all when you walk the box to the PO and send it to the APO yourself and you know who they are going to because you pick.


Just my thoughts and not saying anything bad about this group I know nothing of them.
