what's the consensus between the r&j short churchill and the brc?

Are you thinking of buying a box of one of those choices? Have you had some of each?
If you have had some of each, then go with what you liked better if you are going to get a box. If you haven't, try to get a fiver of each and then decide. You will get many different answers on what WE like, but it's what YOU like that is important. I wouldn't buy a box if you haven't had much experience with either one.
My choice between the two would be the Short Churchill, but that's me.

brc- brilliant right ott. short church, give some time. Both are exquisite.

Going against the grain with this one and will say BRC. The short churchills aren't my thing as I find them a little too mild.

I too would go with the brc, I love the SC, but I'm really digging the boli flavor more these days...

Another vote for the Boli RC over the RyJ SC. I just like Bolivars much more than Romeos. That said I hear recent production of both cigars are smoking very well right now.
Or better yet. Find someone who will do a split with you so you can get a 1/2 box of each.:smile:

Totally agree with this, both deserve humidor space. Box splits are a great way to try different things.

I agree with Gibbleguts, RyJ is mild, great morning smoke, and my choice between the two, if asked, would be the BRC!

thanks gentlemen. that's about what i expected! i know it's about what i like, but wanted to see what you all thought. and it sounds like either would be more than acceptable. i've had the brc, but not the sc. i would definitely do some further testing before commiting to one or the other.
