I sold them for 5 years before putting wet stuff on the red stuff. Makita, Bosch and HDs Rigid line are always a great DIY best buy imo.
Edit:
Those little baggies are on there for decoration. Wear a hepa mask and goggles.
May want to look into this guy Ara.

The Makita you have found should do a nice job for you. The random orbital is much better than a standard orbital. Good luck on your project and post some photos.

I've been using RO sanders since they replaced the air line with a power cord. I have an earlier version of that Makita (been through a couple pads and brake bands, but it just won't die), it's my "everyday" sander. Also have the Porter Cable and spent a lot of time behind the Dewalt. All three are solid tools. The Makita is the fastest (love it for cabinet face-frames). The Porter Cable is the slowest/most controllable and ideal for flat work (desk tops, etc).
