Ouch!

Just got back from the dentist. I had root canals on two teeth. I went to bed last night and woke up about 20 mins later in excruciating pain. I slept for 15 mins at a time and kept waking up from the pain. I've been unfortunate enough to experience several types of injuries and surgeries over the years and the pain related to those injuries and this was by far the worst pain or at least comparable to the worst pain. My advice, don't avoid the dentist. This could have been avoided.

On a good note, I just got my Xikar Trezo lighter delivered today. Too bad I won't be smoking any cigars today, so I can't try the lighter out yet.

Thank you. Also, dental insurance sucks big time. I used it up in the first visit earlier this year. I think I'm going to opt out of the dental insurance at work because it really isn't worth it. Why continue paying the premiums if I can't use it until next year? Any thoughts on that?

IMO, dental insurance is only worth it if you go regularly (2 times a year). I go twice a year and never have to pay a dime, mainly because my insurance covers checkups but the extra crap (root canals, cavaties, etc).

Not to brag or anything, but in 27 years I've never had a cavity. :knocks on wood:

I've had one root canal about two years ago, it wasn't a bad experience not a good one either, but no pain during or after.

Like my friend above me said, def do the check ups. I went a few years without the routine cleaning and such and ended up with the root canal. Def learned my lesson.

Yeah, same. I've had two root canals on adjoining teeth due to an old injury and they weren't bad at all.

Sucks you are having a bad time with yours.
