oust fan smell

got an oust fan for my new coolidor - I am not using the scent obviously, but I am concerned because the fan already has a bit of smell on it out of the packaging

Forgive me if this has been answered, but how have you all dealt with the smell - or should I not be worried with a slight smell just on the plastic itself

I have never had issues with them. If your concerned wipe it down with something. What I am not sure.

leave it out in the open air for a day or 2 and the new smell wil go away.

I recently bought some & they had a smell; I put them outside in the sun for a few days & the smell was gone.

Ya just leave it out and the smell will go away, leaving it outside for a day or two would work best.

Like others mentioned leave it out for a couple days or put it in a container with an open box of baking soda, that should also help with pulling the smell out of the plastic.

I washed mine with a tiny bit of dawn soap, then I cleaned it with distilled water and let it sit in an empty cigar box for a few days. It smelled like cedar after. Works for me!
