In general I've found that smaller RG in lighter blends tend to fare best when smoked very young. Bolivar PC isn't the best example as it's more robust but I have had them very young and they tasted great.

Larger RG stuff like the PSD4 and BRC did not taste the same to me without the proper time. But that's just my humble opinion and I'm by no means an expert.

I presume you mean what's smoking great fresh right now (without age), hopefully you don't mean right off the truck because I'd let them acclimate first. Anyways, I second the Boli PC's suggestion and add the rest of the '07s I think are smoking well: RASCC's, BGM's, SCDLH Principes and Oficios, Partagas Culebras, Monte #4's (though they'll be even better with age), JLP Petit Cazadores. Mostly smaller formats.

Coudn't agree more on the Reyes. If it weren't for the fact that I'm a sucker for variety (and the fact that I have limited space), I'd buy those suckers in 5 packs (you know, 5 BOXES!). LOL. Oh to have unlimited space and funds.

I find sticks are good (if not too wet or dry) for the first 3-4 days, then seem to go flat for 3-4 weeks so I leave them alone for a month. I generally smoke one OTT if I can to see what potential they have. Many sticks are superb right away.

Great topic!

For me, the ERDM Choix Supreme is great right out o' the box. In my opnion, these are by far THE best CC value out there...Loads of sweet earth and complexity, at about 1/3 the cost of the highly overrated Cohiba robusto.
