Well the bag I have had for about 8 years is finally coming to its end. Anyone have a bag to reccomend? Nothing too pricey but something nice that will last.

I have two green duffel bags I got in Air Force basic training. They hold lots of stuff, and are fairly durable.

Only problem is, they are just plain ugly. But I am sure that someone with bit of imagination can come up with a solution to the ugly problem.

Pink spraypaint. It would certainly make it easier to find your bags on the luggage carousel......

Go to a surplus...Depending on the size you want...If you wanat a fairly large bag, ask the guy for a 'quatermasters bag'....The thing is indestructable, and pretty good size (probably, and this is just a SWAG 12wx36lx18h)...If you need something smaller, ask for a helmet bag (6wx18lx18h), even smaller, ask for an SHTF bag (6wx12lx6h)

What's the Co-Op program??
You pay $15 once, and you get around 10% off any non-sale item.
They send you a "dividend" check at the beginning of the year.
Totally worth it, as long you're planning on spending at least $150 at REI in your lifetime.

Yep, you get a certain percentage of each purchase towards your dividend check at the end of the year...the check is mailed out at the beginning of the following year.

The cool thing is, they always have a killer sale when the checks are sent out so you can really get some killer deals.

The first year we were on it we bought our 'convertible' bike trailer and the following year our dividend helped us get a $150 bike rack for like $25.

I have been a member of the REI Coop since 1967. I have bought backpacks, sleepign bags, climbing rope, tents, down bags etc and get a dividend check almost every year. This started out as a climbers store whena couple of guys in Seattle could'nt get the stuff they wanted for a reasonable price. Once was all catalog now they have numerous stores. Thier stuff wears like iron. Good store. Good stuff.
