Was close. Manny did not dominate the figth and Marquez fought smart. Personally I thought there was a chance it may have gone to Marquez on a split. They were talking about setting up a 4th fight in May.

Was pretty surprised by the outcome, expected a draw or split for Marquez. Really tough to believe that 2 Judges scored the 12th for Manny (not to mention the other judge that scored the bout 116-112)...

I had Marquez by 3 rounds by the end of the fight, but knew that that would translate to split/+1 for Marquez. Lots of close rounds, a lot of them could have been scored even if boxing accepted that practice.

I thought they should have gave it to JM. Surprised that they gave it to Pac so convincingly on the scorecard. It was def closer than the judge had it. JM should have hit the 12th harder though.

I agree with you, but I'm not sure it would have mattered in terms of how Round 12 is fought. Marquez was going to counter, and Manny was going to lead. That's how the fight had gone, and that's the only way Marquez wins, neither fighter looked like they wanted to fight for the first 2:10ish of Round 12.

No one looked like the aggressor @ all. It was a strategic fight, but I was hoping for more of brawl... there were flashes of greatness, but I really felt underwhelmed @ the end of the fight.

I think MP won 7 of the 12, and scoring should of gave Marquez more credit for a hard fought battle.

It was a close fight, and that meant a MP victory to keep the SUPERFIGHT alive. Only way JM was going to win was to put MP on the canvas.
