Padilla Miami Oscuro Limitado

Anyone try these yet? Seem to be only available through Cigars International... I know they are known to knock off cigars so I'm a bit cautious.

They have a deal for 10x Perfecto 6x60's (not fan of the size but it is perfecto) for $32.00.

I couldn't find many reviews on these, found one on some blog and a guy gave the robusto a 95.

I'm a big fan of the Padilla Signature 1932 Oscuro Limitada Salomons, so when I saw these I promptly bought 10 of them on Joe's Jambalaya.

I've now smoked one of them...and was not impressed. Not much in the way of flavor, and pretty one dimensional. I'll now give the rest to friends who would like a "decent" cigar but who haven't yet discovered Tatuajes, Viajes and HTF limited editions.

Per usual, though, "the mileage may vary" for other persons. And at least the price is right on these sticks.

I hesitate any time I see CI make a 6 x 60 be it a perfecto or not, but especially when it's a perfecto. My bet is it's not going to pass muster and you'll end up wishing you'd spent that $32 on something else.

The regular Padilla Miami is a great smoke. The CI-exclusive Padilla 1932 Oscuro Salamon is a great smoke too (and has aged beautifully!). It stands to reason that the Padilla Miami Oscuro has a good chance of being a very good cigar. But it could be a pos too, lol. For that kind of money, it's worth the risk to try it out!

My educated guess: they'll be between okay and good ROTT, then after a 6-12-months they'll be between good and very good, and after 12-18 months they'll be very good to great. That's based on my experience with both Padilla and CI exclusives.
