Belvanie 14 YO Roasted Malt. I had these over the weekend, and what a combination! This was my first Pardon 4000, and I'm not quite sure if it was the scotch or the cigar, but both paired perfectly together. I have a feeling that the 4000 is a great cigar to drink with scotch, since the cigar's creaminess, chocolate bitterness, and full body holds up well to the scotch's maltiness.

This was my first 4000 maduro (and Padron cigar, for that matter), but I'm excited to try other Padrons based on this experience.

Should I expect the 1926 to be similar to the 4000? I'd love to hear of other Padron recommendations and vitolas!

I'm curious as to the 1926 compared to the x000 as well. But, what I can add, is that in my limited cigar experience, the Padron x000 line was a great learning template for me in terms of construction.

Of the 5-6, 3,4,7k's that I've smoked, they all had great draw and burned razor sharp. I think in this aspect they are an exceptional smoke. Superb construction and consistency. Again, IMHO.

I would definitely second that. Mine burned razor sharp as well. I only had to re-light it with about a third left, but that was more my fault since I let it sit too long. But after a quick purge and light, it was business as usual.

The 26,anni's and the 1000 series are all the same tobacco and blend just aged differently......at least to my knowledge. The 1000 series with age is a superb smoke.

I find all lines of Padron have a similar flavor profile that either you like or you don't. I find the x000 line pretty good for the money...the 64's are really right in my wheelhouse and compound on all the good flavors you find with the lower lines but are much smoother and rounder. The 26's are a stronger version of the 64's to me, just a little more intense. Again, either you will like that or you won't. The higher end cigars can be absolutely wonderful with the 40th being one of the best cigars I've ever smoked.

I enjoy the 3000 maduro and 4000 maduro most of the time. However, all of the 3k and 4k's I've smoked had a tendency to get harsh towards the final 1/3.

If you like the Padron "thousand" series maduros, may I suggest the El Mejor Espresso? It has a shockingly similar flavor profile, with a slightly softer edge than the Padron. Construction quality and strength are parallel.

Thanks for all the suggestions. Lifer, the El Mejor Espresso sounds pretty good, especially at that price point. I'm going to do some research to see where I can buy them the cheapest and buy a 5 pack or 2.

As for the other Padrons, I'll be trying to get my hands on as many of these as possible (all vitolas and series). I really want to pull another another 4000 from the humi, but based on all the comments and only having 4 left, I'll let them rest for now!
