Padron 45th QC issue

I pulled this stick from a box of them a couple days ago before a road trip. I saw this at the time I pulled it but didn't care. So now I light this and I look at it and have a look at the picture.

What I'm trying to figure out how half-inch tear in the wrapper on the front face the darn Band passed through quality control. Annoying for what this cigar costs.

I can honestly say I've never seen that before in a Padron Anny...That's just awful to look at. If it were me, I'd have save the cap, took some pectin, and patched over it. I'd also send a photo of that to there web site...you never know what they might say about it.

I would assume it came after packaging. I've opened a few boxes before where they are pretty loose inside the box (so they can move a little) and have had a few with small cracks on the foot/cap but it is VERY rare. It is pretty shitty though for a cigar of that price but usually their quality control is top notch.

Hopefully it was after packing. I would hate to see something like that get through QC at Padron. ^^ I agree with Ciggy! Send a photo. They may respond and try to fix the problem!

Seriously though, looks like it took a shot of moisture and swelled up, which would make it crack like that.

In looking at this it almost looks like a fingernail shaped push.. it's slightly curved where the break is so I can't imagine this happened after packaging especially paper wrap on the top layer of the box. I may send them a message. Not looking for free sticks but just a bit frustrating.

Accurate assessments of the brothers here....while something like this will pop up from time to time it's not something you usually will see. For a cigar like that feedback to the store or manufacturer is something that needs to be done. We preach about correct humidification and storage and this is one of those reasons....we pay sometimes...quite a bit for the product we smoke and we don't like when our cigars end up like this. Hopefully, you'll hear back from somebody if you give them your pics and feedback to resolve this.

+1 someone had long nails maybe and broke through the wrapper.
