Interesting. My knowledge of Padron doesn't go back that far. I do remember seeing some with black bands, as apposed to the brown bands they use now.Anyone know when Padron switched from boxes of 25 to boxes of 26? I am looking to buy a box of 2000's but they say "Made in Honduras" and 25 box count on the side.
The X000 Series seem to age really great, but the 1964 age mediocre at best, it seems. For some reason I love the 1964's fresh, compared to being aged anything over two years(They seem to lose too much spice, but do turn really smooth). Though, I've smoked an OR 1964 Torpedo and it tasted like cinnamon and cloves, no strait tobacco taste what so ever, talk about refined! Same w/ the OR 40th's - Now... THAT is a cigar to try to beat out! The 40th is nothing short of perfection, IMVHO.An aged Padron is a good Padron (well I like any Padron aged or not, but they just seem to get tastier as time goes on), would be a great buy.
They were damn good to weren't they, maybe even better than 64's in my opinion! :cbig:2006 Padron FTW. Buy those suckers. I've had a couple of 2-3 year old 2000 maduros that tasted like 64s
Oh chit.... Here it comes.Interesting :thinkidea .
