In the original TV series, when they arrived at earth, it was current day. In the Scfy series, when they arrive at earth, it is before human life, and they colonize the planet as our ancient ancestors.

lol, i do the same thing. I spent like 5 minutes trying to figure out what cigar Tortuga (tortoise) was smoking in the breaking bad bar scene recently (rewatching the series before I watch this last season)


what i took away from this thread is that it's about time for me to start rewatching battlestar gallatica

I don't see how it could be the future since when they arrive at our earth the planet is in developed and the inhabitants are hunter gatherers. But according to the doctor they make good breeding stock.
