I want to try it and appreciate any help I can get. I just don't want to pay double the price. I'm not against a slight premium at all but that's, wow :wtf:

Okay, then yes, that is quite a premium to pay. I saw a couple places around $120 but all were sold out and others around $250, so figured the $190 might be the "going" price.

I bought a bottle of the 20 year about 5 years ago when I enjoyed a glass of the 23 year at a steak house in Indy. I gotta say the 20 wasn't worth the money. The 23 is where it's at...

Perhaps call around to the better bars, restaurants or clubs in your area to see if they serve either one. Might be worth it to try a shot or two before laying down some serious coin on a whole bottle.

Just a thought ...

We are one of the highest taxed countries in the world on Alcohol and it is $150 in the stores and $110 through some better sources. For the 20yr. Haven't tried the reg release 23yr only the 23yr decanter so a little spoiled.

From a guy with Pappy as his avatar, my understanding is that the Fall distribution was delayed/eliminated this year in most markets. At least down here in Texas, the local shops are not expecting cases at their distributors until early February.

wish my boss liked me that much.
I paid 50 for my 12 year old bottle and I paid 95 for my 20 year old bottle. that includes the taxes. i have not opened the 20, that will wait till my bday in Jan. I have to open one of last years 12 year old bottles and let this years sit away. I am a whore for the pappy, but not as bad as some that i know.
