Found this boutique in Bavaro, east of the Dominican Republic. I've only found 2 or 3 cigar companies on the east side (most of them are in the middle of the country, near Santiago).
This boutique makes 3 types of cigars and a 4th that's going to be out this December. Met the owner and the guy offered me 10 of his cigars so I could taste them, for a cheap price. I'm skeptical cuz I don't know if they are long filler or short filler, although the owner told me "long filler".
I'll be reviewing the red-label one, hopefully tomorrow. Anyways, here's the info of each cigar.
All of them "Robusto" Size, 5x50 should be the size (4 3/4 x 52 to be exact).
White Label
Filler: Seco Dominicano / Visó / Olor Dominicano
Binder: Criollo 98
Wrapper: Ecuadorian Connecticut
It's supposed to be a Mild cigar.
Yellow-Label
Filler: Seco Dominicano / Olor Dominicano / Perú (Peruvian Filler)
Binder: Habano
Wrapper: Habano/a 2000
This is supposed to be a Medium-bodied cigar.
Red-Label
Filler: Seco Dominicano / Nicaragua / Perú / Olor Dominicano
Binder: Criollo 98
Wrapper: Broadleaf Connecticut
This is the med-full bodied cigar of the line. It's supposed to be the best of them...And this is the one i'm hoping to try tomorrow.
Have you ever seen these cigars? Or smoke em? If you have, were they good?
