Farting around with some paracord tonight. Use to tie square knot lanyards but then my fingers started aching so gave it up.

So anyone else tie lanyards etc out of paracord?

I used to tie knotted handles on my knives that came with "skeleton" handles... gave a little more grip.. and allowed me to carry a couple of yards of 550/paracord with me "in the field"... havent done that in several years though..

I keep a 500' spool of the stuff on hand at all times though... I have literally towed cars with it.. fixed broken "furniture" (a bed in Iraq).. used it as an improvised sling.. and probably two dozen more things over the years when I was in a fix and needed to repair something RIGHT NOW...

Its the duct tape of the cordage world :)

Yup. I use em for certain knives. Always have a ladder wrap paracord bracelet on as well. Bush crafting is my other hobbie besides cigars and lately GTA V lol.

I got a bundle of paracord I do a lot of rope work at work should help me w my knots. I might try a lanyard like you have in the pic for my cutter. I'll also throw a bit in the bug out bag

I always have some with me, and I always have the best intentions to sit down with the kids and work on some paracord projects but it hasn't happened yet.
