Ok, i thought this might be the best place to ask this question. I was speaking to a vet friend of mine last night. We were speaking about how to attach pouches to a molle system. He said that he used paracord and some sort of knot. he would pull the line really tight and the pouch would not move. problem is he does not remember the name of the knot. does any one here have a clue of what he is speaking of, and if you do know the knot how the hell do I tie it.

Many guys now using nylon zip-ties instead of the 550 cord we all grew up with, especially for attaching pouches and such that don't often come away (ideally) from load bearing equipment or body armor.

Because they can't tie a knot . The knot area 51 pointed out would suffice. It's really just a version of the Clinch Knot which is super easy to tie with just a little practice. Just a tip though, with the larger diameter line you would probably only need 3 or so wraps. With 5 it tends to get harder to get the knot seated.
