Just smoked my first Partagas Black last night and thought it to be a very good cigar. Had some burn issues but as it was quite windy that could've been the reason. To me the flavor was very similar to the cu-avana punisher without the hot tip (which i love btw!). Anyone else had these two and think the same thing?

The few I had tasted decent, but left a chalky feeling in my mouth... not quite sure how else to explain it.

I noticed that too... and like Sin, I smoked these by the boat loads when I first started. I just never went back to them because I only had so much room in the humi...

I also think these work better in smaller vitolas.

That is a good review and thanks for the link. I'm trying as many different cigars as i can because i've really gotten into the cigar scene over the last year, been an occasional smoker for many years just not near a b&m anymore so it makes it tough to get em without buying a box, which i hate to do before smoking one. It is what it is i guess, i'll keep getting samplers online and exploring lol.

Many of our site sponsors will sell fivers... you could pick up 4-5 fivers of different things for around the price of a box, and increase your variety/exposure that way. That is (kind of)* how I got started

*(In truth, I bought a few boxes at first and then realized my folly. After I made room in the 100 ct humi, I started in on 5 packs and broadened my horizons.)
