My mind kind of blew when I saw in the latest CI catalogue that boxes of Partaga Cifuentes Diciembres are $59.99.

I am so, so tempted to get this.

But I need you guys to guide me!!

Partagas is a very well respected brand. But CI doesn't seem to be very high up in peoples' books.

I read one review stating it's quite similar to the La Aroma de Cuba E.E....which is one of my favorite smokes of all time.

Is this accurate?

The original Partagas CiFuentes weren't a bad smoke but in my opinion there is no comparsion between them and the EE's. The EE's are a much better cigar.

Bought a 5er of these some time ago, and was completely underwhelmed. Not a good smoke, even at three bucks a stick. This is of course just one man's opinion, so grain of salt, and all.
As far as comparisons to the E.E., pretty sure this is more of the usual CI hyperbole at work.

The Deciembres are Dominican puros and are a decent change of pace cigar but I'm guessing the EE is more of a Nicaraguan profile. The Partagas is earthy with very little sweetness. Kinda bland and medium mild but well made.
