finally, a break in life gives me time to put a few thoughts down...
Monday night was absolutely beautiful! the moon here in San Diego was quite marvelous! The same moon you all watched from your respective place on the planet!
sparked up the jaccuzi and broke open a new box of partagas petite coronas. now, i've been told that these will get better with age. well, if that's the case, i'm in for an incredible treat later!
nice looking smoke with pronounced veins. pre-lit draw had tastes of leather and spice (i think i've seen that movie??). easy light, excellent draw, and lots of smoke. from the start, this cigar was a full frontal attack on my taste buds. it took several puffs for my mouth to acclimate, actual tingling in my ears! awesome flavors of leather, dry earth, and rich cuban tobacco. the flavor never subsided and stayed full throughout! I nursed this one until i could not hold it anymore. then i stuck a toothpick in it and got a few more puffs. just didn't want to put it down.
i paired it with a Henessey! an excellent choice as the cognac tamed the cigar a bit.
what a great smoke, great atmosphere, and a perfect end to a Monday madness!
thanks for allowing me to share,
jeff
