I sat down at a brewery in Jersey with seamus and our girlfriends to enjoy our last cigars in a NJ bar. Jim enjoyed a Cohiba Reserva robusto.
The consruction was great minus one edge of the wrapper coming up on the rich maduro wrapper. Nothing that would effect the smoke. The cut was clean and straight with my Palio, as always. The pre-light draw was on the looser side for a cuban. It had wonderful nuttiness and a very rich tobacco taste.
Upon toasting the cigar with my X-tend I could tell this was going to be nice a full-bodied smoke. The first few puffs had a wonderful spiciness that mellowed after a few draws. The cigar lasted for an hour to an hour and a half. Chocolate notes were throughout with a nice spicy background. The smoke came in thick volumes which I always enjoy. I smoked this to the nub and the flavors of nuttiness, spice and chocolate only became even more enhanced. My overall take, a great cigar.
