I used to use a website years back that you had one secure master password, and you could store all your other usernames and passwords on their. Any suggestions?

What do you use for a web browser? I run Linux on my netbook with Google Chrome and have a master password for my passwords on Chrome...does that make sense to anyone else?

Running OS X with Chrome as well. Haven't utilized that feature in Chrome.

LastPass is what alot of people the in the security realm "might" suggest, if they were crazy enough to suggest something like that.

I know with LastPass you have the option to buy an UBI key, so you have to have the device with you in order to use lastpass. Oh and you can use Google Authenticator which I believe works on most every single cell phone.

Just my 2 cents.

Not that LastPass is the be all end all, but it certainly beats the security risks associated with password reuse. Heck, half the people I know just write their passwords on a piece of paper on their desk.

Now I leave you with a comic from xkcd: http://xkcd.com/936/

I've used 1password for the last year and absolutely love it. It isn't the cheapest when it comes to using it PC, iPad, iPhone, but it's nice knowing all of your passwords are available on every device.

same here. I love their password generator and I finally feel confident that hackers will not be able to get one password and get into others. I agree, price is higher but it is worth it for me.

I don't trust anybody. I guess that I'm weird, but I can memorize a complex 8 character password like those random generators create. I create a mnemonic or some such to help me remember. Maybe I'm a little but autistic? :eyequiver
