So tonight, I'm out with my best bud just hoping to find a quite place where we could sit down, watch the football game and enjoy a nice Habano. Our staple Brick & Mortar was closed for some reason so we just ventured into the downtown of the suburb we were driving around in and happened to come across a restaurant that was advertising the fact that it had a Cigar Bar. As it turned out, it was a great place. We sat around laughing, smoking and listening to some live piano music being played by an excellent, rather ancient-looking Crooner. Looking back, we were having a great time.

As our evening was winding down and we were both into the final 3rd of our smokes, I saw a nicely dressed gentleman sit down near the fire, pull out a slightly damaged N/C torpedo and spark up. It was at that moment that it struck me, the urge to go BOTL on his ass. I finished my Remi and killed the cup of coffee I had been nursing and decided it was time to move in. I packed all my paraphanelia up and took out the last RA 898 that I was allowing myself to smoke before these went down for a nap. I walked over to the guy, told him it was nice to see another guy having a cigar in the room, and handed him the Ramon. His face had a look of confusion as I pushed it towards him but then, all of a sudden, he realized it was an ISOM that I was handing over, and the look he wore turned to shear amazement. I told him it was one of my alltime fav's and that it brought me great pleasure to share that with someone who otherwise might not have been able to enjoy such a cigar. I shook his hand, turned around and walked out of the bar.

What a night! It was my first bombing of a complete stranger and hopefully not my last. It's crazy how making a sacrafice like giving up your last aloted single of a great cigar can make you feel so fulfilled. Just knowing how happy that man is gives me more enjoyment then that cigar probably ever could have.
So to all of my fellow Brothers, thanks for the amazing inspiration. Without all of you, I never would have been called to share this great passion!

At the New York Herf at Club Macanudo there was a couple that just got engaged, (Girl was pretty hot) and some of us went over and congratulated them and gave them some nice smokes, they were in awe, and made it a point to come over when they left to thank us!!!

I went to Vegas not too long ago and on a trip back up to my room I ended up in an elevator with 3 firemen from NYC. They noticed I was smoking a cigar and one of them asked if they sold cigars in the hotel. I told them they did but not to bother for tonight and offered them each a nice ISOM. Great guys and very appreciative. Always good to be kind to strangers. Appreciated or not. :smt023

Rich,

I do remember that evening you, me and a few others including Dave C I believe hit the gent up with ISOM's. He was quite shocked and happy with our generosity!

I think that is the way it should be!! Smoking Camaraderie at its best!

While in Manila..I was smoking at a cigar bar while the wife went shopping. Met a Singapore gentleman who was smoking an RyJ Beli, I believe and we struck up a conversation on cigars and wine.

I ended up giving him a Partagas SD#3, my OMB Churchill, and a Cohiba Siglo IV among others. He turned out to be the Asian Representative for Macallan's
Needless to say, I ended up (with having several "tastings" of the 12 years and the 18 year old for free...) quite inebriated. He never allowed me to pick up my tab.

Went home at 11pm after seven hours in that bar. Quite memorable.

Cool Craig, very nice of you.

When we was in Egypt last year in Feb (yes, in Egypt not Havana :smt022 ) there was a German guy in our hotel. One day our beach chairs was lying beside each other. I noticed he smoked a cigar early after breakfast, but not a very nice cigar. So I hand him a Partagas Shorts, he says thanks and lights it after finishing his own. His face turns into a big smile and he tells me he never smoked anything that good before. Next day I bring a HdM Epi 1 from 97 to the beach and gives it to him, this time he has brought one of his own goodies and hands it over to me. Never saw him light the Epi 1 up, but they where very nice sticks and I hope he liked it.
