I was wondering if anyone else felt disappointed after smoking one of these? Maybe it's me? Idk, but I have a couple left that im not interested in. Maybe time will help them.

those are already 3 years old, i bet time is not going to do much for them at this point.

that's probably the reason why the 2010's are still sitting at podman cigars.

That is incorrect. These were re-released this year and are not the same ones from the 2010 release. I think they used the same wrapper from 2010, which is probalby why they kept the name, but they are not the same exact ones from the 2010 release.

Regarding the OP, I have not had any of the ones that were just released this year so I can't speak on those, but the ones from the OR that I have had I have enjoyed, but have never been blown away. For the price I think they are decent cigars, but don't go into it expecting a super premium smoke

I honestly think it is a great cigar. One of the best smokes I have ever had from Abe...might not be your taste...
+1! while i think they are tasty, nothing is going to win everyone over. there are people who don't truly care for opus, liga, and padron. there are people who would love to have nothing but... you get the idea.

plus side? they really don't do it for you, they should be easy to trade off.

I got a handful I'd be willing to trade if anyone's interested. I guess it's like they," different smokes, for different folks"

are these the original release or this year's redux?

From my experience, the OR's were great with about a year on em. May want to pack these away in a corner of the humi for a while if they're the redux.

didn't know they were re released. sorry about that. Did not mean to cause confusion.

I have smoked a few of the OR, and would agree, decent cigars. For me, definitely not worth chasing down.

I wasn't disappointed. I actually bought 2 boxes of the OR because as proud member of BOTL I thought it was fucking awesome a cigar was made for our community. While I like the cigar, it could have been terrible, but I wouldn't ever have posted anything negative about it.

I bought box of the first release and really enjoy them. I have only had one that was plugged out of 10 so far, so not too bad on the construction but all were flavorful.

Agree with the above. I'd have bought a box even if they were made by Gurkha, and never complained once about the quality of the smoke. It was pretty badass that a manufacturer would make a limited release for our little corner of the cigar world. The fact they were actually decent sticks made it that much better.

Not only that B, I just feel any negative reply would be considered a slap in the face of E, Tim and Abe who worked hard to make this cigar happen.

This. These are pretty special smokes when taking into consideration all parties involved, the effort that went in, and the attention paid to a small community. I'm stoked for having the opportunity to buy, smoke, and bomb these.

I was simply stating my opinion. I certainly wasn't trying to insult Eric or Abe. I do appreciate the fact they make a special cigar for this forum. However, I may have hastily compared it to DE's Botl which isn't fair. They're 2 different cigars. I do like a Pinar del Rio as a whole. Like I said before, maybe time will make them taste better, TO ME. Thanks.

I like the BOTL PDR sticks better than any other PDR. Can't say that about the DE release :)
