Both the Habano and Lot 23 lines from Perdomo are delicious.

Also, both come in different wrappers - the Lot 23 in a Connecticut and a Maduro, and the Habano in Connecticut, Corojo and Maduro.

Which is your favorite, and why?

I keep seeing the 23's and hearing good things, but I haven't picked one up yet. It's jsut one of those sticks that doesn't seem as important to me as other. :dunno:

I guess I'll have to break down and buy one so I can give you my answer! :)

All of them are good smokes but I prefer the Habano Corojo and Maduro over the rest. Especially in the gordo size or that ridiculous 7x60 torpedo they come in.

I definitely prefer the Maduro Habano. I haven't liked any of the Lot 23's that I've tasted. :dunno:

So is Perdomo just not a particularly great brand? Or are there other much better lines than the Lot 23 and Habano?

Perdomo doesn't make many cigars that I think much of. The Lot 23 is the only one I would ever consider a box of, personally, because it is the only blend I like enough to want to smoke regularly. I have not had everything they make, but I have had a handful, and only the Lot 23 Natural has ever made me go "Mmmm this is a tasty smoke"

It all depends on your taste, as you can see from this thread. I generally like a lot of the Perdomo cigars, including several store brands which are among my favorites (Lusitania and JR's Genuine Counterfeit Cuban Pre-Embargo 1958 Edicion Limitadas). Only way to find out if you like 'em is to smoke a few.

I like the Lot 23 maduros. I had a natural before that was just so so for me. I find they're a good regular stick.

I liked the patriarch I had a week or so ago, the Grand Cru isn't bad either.

Here in NY Perdomos are huge, they are the best sellers in many shops here. With a 75% tax Perdomos still remain below the magic $10 number excluding the ESV. But even Patriarchs can be had for under $10 and Nicks Sticks can be had for under $5 which is a steal here in NY. Also the guys at Perdomo that Ive met are all very approachable including Nick himself. Ill always back Perdomo cigars.

I prefer the Lot 23 in maduro. Of the two, I like the flavors of the 23 better than the Habano. As far as Perdomos go the only other one I've liked (and I've tried a handful of different blends) was the Fresco which isn't going to win any awards, but it's cheap and I liked it. The Lot 23 was one of my first consistent purchases. I haven't smoked any lately and don't think I have any in the humidor, but I usually pack some when I go golfing (coincidentally I haven't made it out to the course this year :hanghead:).

I gotta say, I've had four Perdomo's now... Very much hit or miss... I had two Perdomo2 (Maduro and Natural)... They smelled divine pre-light, but the taste was just not that good (granted that's personal, and I'm new... But just... No.)

Then I had a Lot 23 in natural and Maduro... Those were very nice.

Hello Gentlemen,
I have enjoyed both, but I prefer the flavor of the Lot 23 maduro. For me, it is a go-to stick.
Thank you,
Curtiss

I'm not a Perdomo fan at all. If I had to smoke one, it would be the Habano maduro.

Lot 23 maduros, esp the robusto.

Mine have 3+ years on them and are pretty tasty.

Nothing else from perdomo does it for me

I remember the reserve Oscuro being a pretty damn good smoke, I havent had one in over a year though. Going to have to revisit them soon.
