My last few weeks have been a frenzy of trying to study between hectic days at work in preparation for our upcoming deployment. I had my Pilot in Command evaluation over Thursday and Friday of last week. It basically covered just about everything I've learned in my last few years of flying for the Army. Good news... I passed with flying colors! :stretchgr My first flight as a PC is tomorrow with one of the relatively new guys straight out of flight school. It's definitely going to be interesting lol. Unfortunately no raise to go with it, other than a significant raise in responsibility. On a brighter note my 6 year Army birthday is coming up in April. At least that's a nice 200something a month raise. Haven't had time to properly celebrate with a good cigar yet but I plan on doing just that tonight!

Congratulations! It's a good feeling to be in charge of your own ship isn't it? Remember, you never stop learning.

Regards,
Randy

Thanks to everyone for the kind words! What can I say? I love my job. The awesome support the military gets from people around the US makes our job just a little bit easier. Thank you to anyone who has ever gone out of their way to show appreciation to the troops.

Edit: Also, it hath been decided. Tonight I enjoy my first and only Dirty Rat. :)
