I understand there are many severities, but there are so many good sticks out, id like to hear what the other cigar fellas have to say before I goto town.

Thanks all!

Dont even look at cigars till your better brother; I had a serve cold last year and I smoked a few sticks while "recovering"; all I did was feel worse and regret any money I spent on trying to smoke during the few week period. Mucus build-up and tasteless smoke a good pair do not make :)

Dude don't lol. I had it 5 years ago when I was 20, and I smoked cigarettes back then, and I should have listened and not smoked. It was hell man. you will really regret it, well at least I did.

DONT DO IT! first you'll just prolong the pnuemonia and second when you that sick everycigar will taste like a dog rocket. so unless it's a Ron Mexico all you'll be doing is wasting a good cigar

I'll also jump in and say don't do it. I've made the mistake, not worth it... Especially if it's something you are really looking forward too.

Hey guys - thanks for the feedback and concern.

I understand and didt plan on having a cigar while I was sick. My question was more of when is it ok to have one, considering that pneumonia is said to linger. I have felt better for a week now, and plan on waiting another week or two. Is that enough? Should I wait another month?

and yes, I know the ideal answer is to wait forever, but I thought this was a cigar forum.

I would wait until you can breathe normal ( no fluid in the lungs, no coughing, clear sinus, etc...). Also wait until food tasted like good again. After that I would think you should be ok.

Thanks Scroni! Thats exactly what I was thinking, with maybe some buffer time.

I'll prob know if Im ready or not by if I taste anything when I finally try one. I'll err on the conservative side.

I had it a couple years ago, and like a fool, I kept on smoking. The strange thing is, every time I had a cigar, I felt better, and could breath better, but I really think I prolonged it by my foolish actions.
