They should be taxing the hell out of fast food... That's hurting and killing more people in the long run.

Between this and the 775% increase on pipe tobacco, I fear for the likes of LJ Peretti et al.

Just awful.

The anti tobacco propaganda has worked great over the years, I fear that most tobacco will be taxed out of existence soon enough.

Currently where I live, it is illegal to even ship here from out of state.

We have a 35+% tax and then sales tax of another 7%. It is insane.
Stock up while you can boys.

I generally try to avoid shopping in MA for anything. I'm fairly close to the NH border and do most of my shopping in Nashua. 6.5% sales tax in MA adds up pretty quickly, plus all the additional taxes on things like alcohol and tobacco. I'm assuming that when (not if) marijuana is legalized, I'll want to buy it in NH as well.

I as well will avoid shopping in my home state due to this. My biggest fear now is that my favorite cigar bar in Boston will be shut down. And peretti's wont be there when i take my inevitable walk down newbury street with my girlfriend in the summer time.
