Think of Myspace but stripped of all the crap. You can quickly share files, links, events, messages with your group of friends or all of pownce.

Yet another entry in the "social networking" fad. Thanks anyway. The only one that seems to serve any substantive purpose is LinkedIn.com, very helpful for professional connections.
