Would any of you pay 20 bucks more to get a 04 box opposed to an 09 box of Vintage - Romeo Y Julieta Exhibicion No.4 ?
Are they good smokes I am pretty new to this side but the aged stuff in general has almost always tasted a lot better any thoughts thanks!

I only pay vintage prices for things I've had in the past that may repeat the expreriance I've already had. Like 03' SWs. 09 Psd4s etc. Although the latter isnt really a vintage by any means. Try finding them now. (09 D4s) Also a big fan of aging nearly everything myself. My best boxes so far have been things that Ive had 3-4 years that were almost new from the factory when I aquired them.......

If I had it on good authority (or better yet, personal experience) that the year in question was good, then sure, $20 isn't bad. But I've heard that '04 was an "ok" year, vs '06 and after.

I haven't smoked an 04. I've smoked some from 99 and some from 09. I do like the Exh No. 4 which doesn't seem to be a popular stick. I really liked both of those years. Personally I'd rather buy the 09s (Or preferably younger) and age them myself like Jolietilfire said.

IMHO, almost all 04 & 05 CCs were pretty bland. I WOULD pay extra for 02 & early 03, but not EX#4s. They never did much for me. Now the EX#3- THAT is a nice cigar. Greatly enjoying my 06s.

Is an extra $20 really a huge price increase? $20 for 5 years seems like a sweet deal to me....
20 is a great deal; just not for those sticks IMHO
02-04; so 6 to 8 years haha that only solidifies the argument of them being worth it I guess :)
04-09....but I think njstone's post probably sums it up best either way.
Site has 02's and 04's posted as there vintage; Nate was using 09's as comparison to the latter not including 02's
