Amazon.com is actually putting this into motion for late 2014 early 2015. The cost is outrageous though.

The FAA just shut down a company that was doing this exact thing to deliver beer to ice fishermen in Minnesota.

According to the article, the rules to allow drone delivery won't be finalized until some time between 2015-2017. Pretty cool though to see where things are headed.

Amazon.com is actually putting this into motion for late 2014 early 2015. The cost is outrageous though.

I know its sort of an apples to oranges comparison.... but..

UPS tried to hit me for $135 to overnight a 3 1/2 lb object last week... (I opted for the $65 2 day solution instead)..

If outrageous means I can get something I really need right away delivered to my door in hours.. cheaper than FedX/UPS want to bring it to me tomorrow morning..

I might still be interested.. even if the price is stupid expensive..

The talk is any object under 10lbs to your door in three hours or less. The price we had seen on the initial idea was minimum 90$ no matter the weight maximum 215$ for a whole 10 pound package. This is still working prices and times last I heard though.
