I believe the type of spanish you speak matters when pronouncing words like Lancero. The same goes with Barcelona.

I know one spanish guy who pronounces Lancero as Lantr-Chair-o.

There are at least four different dialects that I'm aware of. The Catalonian dialect in the Barcelona area of Spain. The Basque Country has almost more of an Italian dialect from what I remember when working over there. The Madrid area speak a similar dialect to those from Columbia. I think it's referred as Castilian Spanish. And the flirt one is more of the Mexican dialect which is more prevalent throughout the Carribean from what my ears can tell. Google just told me that there are 10 major Spanish dialects which heavily influences how words are pronounced.

My ex was from Chile and her family spoke Castilian, totally different from the Spanish I heard growing up with all the kids who came from Mexico.

Lawn-ser-roh is how she would pronounce it (tongue roll between the rr)
Bey-ley-Co-so as well

English has its dialects too. Folks in the northeast talk different from those in the Midwest, which is different from Texas, which is different from Arkansas, Louisiana, California, etc.

Ok guys. What is the correct pronunciation of regios? I ordered Reggie-o's, the salesman at the b&m said something else. I was too embarrassed to remember it.

Having worked in a shop I have heard guys straight butcher Cigar names on a regular basis, the only one that really bothered me was the guy who kept saying Ligero (lee-hair-oh) as ligg-gair-ohh in the most southern accent possible. I tried for 2 years to correct him in the nicest way possible, but he obviously gave no fucks. I finally got him to just say "LFD" instead of his slaughtered Spanish
