Jfire
BoM 9/9' 9/11' 8/12'
Temp 72 deg light rain.
11:45 a.m. in garage. Nothing to drink.
Prelight impression: Very soft wrapper, Small to no veins. Light on filler tobacco no soft spots in general, but feels a little light in genral.
Cut with Palio, perfect cut.
Prelight draw: Light wood taste, somewhat loose draw found.
1st 3rd:
Very light tabacco taste, Very light pepper as well. Small woodyness coming thru as well.
Starting to getting a small taste of a Psd4. No barn yard like other ccs brands. Ash is slightly flakey and blackisgh grey.
More sweet tabacco on fisnish(light) More of med pepper on end of 1st 3rd.
2nd 3rd:
Still more sweet flavor coming thru almost a honey taste. Slight uneven burn and a touch up is neccessary. Also more light woodsy flavors as well. Right now even though its light in flavors the finish is extremely long. Draw is still too easy for me. I have to take it very easy on the draw. Retrohaling is eazy as well beacause of the lightness of the smoke.(plenty of smoke though)
Last 3rd:
Not much change or complexity to this smoke at all. I'm starting to think that the psd4 will give this smoke a run for its money any day. I will note that the finish is extremely long it stays almost to each and every puff.
I've also had to retouch or relight several times now. Some light pepper coming back but not much. Sweetness is all but gone as well. I had to let it go out a about the 2inch mark due to it getting hot no matter what I try to do know.
I let it go out. Finish time: 12:50p.m. 1hr 5mins
Final impression:
I have several left of these and will let em sit another 6 months or so. I dont think I would buy this over the PSD4 anytime in the future. The 4s are just smoking to good right now to even consider the thought(also construction is much better as well IMO on the 4s). While it wasnt the worse CC I've had. It didn't seem like even a few yrs are really going to make it that much more of a great cigar. I would be interested to see what others thought to see if maybe I'm off on this cigar.
Thanks for listening.
