Haven't really done many reviews, but plan to change that. Sorry no pics, smoked while stuck in traffic so no way to snap any. I'm no flavor expert but i can pick up the basics so here goes my review.
Name: Punch Petit Coronation
Size: 4" x 40
box code: aug 09
smoke time: 40min
apperence/Pre Light
Has a smooth wrapper with some small veins. great looking double cap nice and firm no soft spots. the aroma was that barnyard aroma that i love. seems every cigar that has that aroma i've liked, this was no different. Used a punch cut and draw was a little looser than i normally like but not bad. Got cedar off the prelight draw.
Smoking experience
1/3
First few puffs were a little harsh, (don't know if i scortched the tobacco when lighting or cause the cigar is young). gives off a lot of smoke with a smell of sweet cedar. getting a sweet cedar taste with tobbacco flavor with a long finish. burn is even, not razor sharp but good. Strength is mild, maybe too mild for some.
2/3
sweet cedar flavor is there but now picking up some earthy wood taste with a slight spice. had to do a light touch up was a bit windy so i rolled up the window a bit burn stayed even after that. strenth still mild
3/3
flavor basically the same but would say there is a floral/herbal component to it. very faint and don't get it on every draw. the spice has picked up a little very nice. about an inch and a half to go it just went out on me without warning. was driving so couldn't really relight, but no signs of plug. would say strenth jumped to a mild medium if that.
So overall a nice smoke, think with more time the flavor will meld and become a bit more developed. Very nice mild smoke good for a morning cup of coffee or lunch time smoke. will try another in 6 months and see how it's coming along.
