BoM - July '05 & Dec. '10
So I reach in the coolerdor and decide to take a plunge on the SS#2. I have smoked 1 of these a couple days upon arrival and it was just too wet to enjoy. I took out the trusty Palio, clipped the head, took a prelight draw, and it was just the right amount of resistance for me.
I went to the deck, followed closely by my dogs, and proceeded to light the foot. From there on out, it was a wonderful experience. I can see why people love these cigars so much! I was astounded by the rich, heavy, blue smoke upon exhaling it. Also, what surprised me the most was that even though it was a little over 4 years old, it was so "in your face." Like MRN stated, these should definitely be aged to reach maximum potential. The flavors were very earthy, leathery, and tannic/spicy. I love this cigar and smoked it down to 1 inch, which I rarely do! Easily in the top 3 Corona Gordas that I like.
